The not-much-ballyhooed smartphones from Microsoft, named The Turtle and Pure, have had a few leaks lately, perhaps as a method of drumming up interest in products that seem behind the times. Yesterday, marketing materials of The Turtle were disseminated into the blogosphere and today, the first-ever photographs of Pure, and some specs for both phones, made it onto Gizmodo.

So Microsoft's Charlie Kindel posted up a long blog post about Windows Phone 7 Series and app development just now, and we couldn't help but notice the WP7S device mockup he used is noticeably different from the stock press shots we've been seeing and the actual devices we've gotten to play with . Microsoft released the free Facebook for Zune HD a couple of days ago, but there were some permission settings issues. The app now runs just fine and as you can see in my video it is quite a capable mobile application.
