(Or, can ANYTHING beat the iPod?) I love my iPod nano (I've got a second-generation one from a couple of years ago that is crammed with a lot of songs from this band , among others), but even I think the iPod sometimes gets too much fawning press.

GameStop made waves today, stating that it will no longer carry the Zune MP3 player lineup. The company already removed stocked players from its stores, but will continue selling the devices through its website until supplies are exhausted. GameStop said that there much is much less demand for the player than the company initially had anticipated.

GameStop has stopped selling Zunes, and while I don't think this is quite the end of the road for Microsoft's MP3 player, it's hard to see a silver lining in the news.
